Sydney FC Wellington Double Header Re-Arranged

Sydney FC’s highly anticipated doubleheader against Wellington Phoenix has been rescheduled due to the club’s participation in the AFC Champions League Two Quarter Finals.

Originally set for Saturday, March 15th at Allianz Stadium, the matches have been restructured to allow Sydney FC’s Men’s side the best possible preparation for the Nix clash, following their continental game which takes place on the preceding Thursday night (13th).

The revised fixtures are as follows:

  • A-League Women: Sydney FC vs Wellington Phoenix – Saturday, March 15th @ Leichhardt Oval, 5:00 PM AEDT (standalone match)
  • A-League Men: Sydney FC vs Wellington Phoenix – Sunday, March 16th @ Allianz Stadium, 7:00 PM AEDT (standalone match)

Sydney FC CEO Mark Aubrey said: “We appreciate the understanding and support of our Members and fans as we balance our domestic and continental commitments.

“We are excited for a massive weekend of football as we continue pursuit of success on all fronts.”

Last season’s doubleheader against Wellington Phoenix at Allianz Stadium saw a match winner from Jynaya Dos Santos in the Women’s game.

All tickets purchased for the original doubleheader will remain valid for the rescheduled fixtures.

Additionally, all tickets for the A-League Men’s game WILL get access to the A-League Women’s fixture, no matter when they are issued or purchased.

New tickets purchased for the rescheduled A-League Women’s game at Leichhardt Oval will only be valid for the Women’s game once on sale later this week, not both.

Membership cards will work at both games as per normal, in the case of Flexi Memberships attendance at both games will count as two games, not one.

If anyone has purchased tickets for the original fixture but only wish to attend the Women’s game, they will receive an email from Ticketek on how to request a refund.

Sydney FC encourages all supporters to come out in full force at both matches.
