Adrian Segecic and Natalie Tobin have claimed the top honours at Sydney FC’s prestigious 2025 Sky Blue Ball, after standout seasons for the club in the Isuzu UTE A-League Men and Ninja A-League Women competitions respectively.
The glittering night of celebration saw Segecic scoop a hat-trick of accolades — A-League Men’s Player of the Year, Members’ Player of the Year, and Golden Boot, capping off a sensational campaign in which the young midfielder became a central figure in the Sky Blues’ attacking play.
“It’s a huge honour to be recognised like this,” said Segecic.
“This club means so much to me, I’ve been here since 12-years old and I’ve worked really hard this season with the support of my team-mates and the staff. I’m grateful to the Members and fans who’ve been behind us every step of the way.”
Club captain Natalie Tobin earned A-League Women’s Player of the Year for the second time, following another outstanding personal campaign on her return from ACL injury.
“It’s always special to be recognised and even more special to have won this award for the second time,” she said.
“We are building again and I’m looking forward to coming back bigger and better next season.”
Rising talent Indiana Dos Santos took home both the A-League Women’s Under 20 Player of the Year and the Members’ Player of the Year underlining her importance to the squad for the future.
The A-League Men’s Under 20 Player of the Year went to emerging midfielder Wataru Kamijo, who is currently in Argentina with the Young Socceroos.
The Rising Star Award was presented to striker Mathias Macallister, following an eye-catching year in Sydney FC’s development ranks, and having made his Sydney FC debut in the AFC Champions League 2 match in Bangkok.
In the Powerchair team, Riley Brown was named Players’ Player of the Year, as recognised by his teammates for his commitment, spirit, and performances across the season.
The Women’s Golden Boot Awards was presented to Mackenzie Hawkesby while the prestigious Sydney FC Club Star Award was awarded to videographer Joshua Patrocinio, recognising his outstanding contribution, passion and professionalism to Sydney FC.
In the Volunteer Recognition category, two long-time contributors were honoured — Sue McNally and Ross Anderson — for their tireless efforts and dedication to the club over 20 years.
