Kruger Excited To Face Former Club

She’s a 17-year old who, until recently, lived on a stud farm 130 kilometers south west of Brisbane. However last Saturday night Zara Kruger was one of the stand out performers in Sydney FC’s Derby win in front of a record Liberty A-League crowd. The Queenslander, who hails from Warwick, might have been a surprise name on the starting list for some, however the Young Matilda took it all in her stride.

A-Leagues To Host UNITE Round

Sydney FC has launched its Female Football Pathway to help aspiring young players realise their dream of becoming the next Sam Kerr, Caitlin Foord or Cortnee Vine. The pathway provides a link between grassroots football and the professional game, closing the gap on the current lack of opportunities for girls to transition from one to the other. It will create a legacy for professional women’s football in Australia and build on the success of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

Indiana Dos Santos became the club’s youngest ever goal scorer with a first half opener before Perth equalised twice either side of a stunning Cortnee Vine strike.
