The second Sydney FC Fans Forum last night proved a resounding success, with Members and fans applauding the open discussion format with CEO Tony Pignata, Coach Ian Crook and Captain Terry McFlynn.

The discussion, held at the Golden Goals Club House in Top Ryde, followed the first meeting at Strathfield last week and will be followed by a third and final Fan Forum at St George Leagues Club, Kogarah next Thursday.

Pignata was thrilled with the passion shown by fans on the night, with the main talking point from fans detailing the delight at hearing Ian Crook talk about his style of play that he hopes to implement.

Sydney FC fan Dean McConnell, from Crows Nest, was delighted to hear about the attacking intent that Crook intends to bring to Sydney FC. “Tonight the coach talked about bringing in a new style of attacking, attractive football,” Dean said. “This is awesome, that-s exactly what we want to hear”.

Marcus Drivas from Ryde, continued the positive sentiments towards Crook: “The philosophy that Ian is trying to implement into the team this year, it-s a lot different to what we are usually expecting, so I-m very happy.”

Fans were once again pleased by the frankness of the responses given by the trio. Evan Hughes, a Member since the first season was pleasantly surprised by the openness of the discussion.

“I was actually pleasantly surprised by the frankness of a lot of the response,” Evan said. “I thought that was very good. I think in a cosy forum like this it was very worthwhile and exceeded my expectations.”

Dane Drivas, was also thrilled by the honest answers and the intimacy of the evening: “The intimacy of the evening was just great,” he said. “All of our questions were addressed, and it was very casual, being able to talk to Ian, Terry and Tony on a one to one basis. Anything we asked they answered honestly, happily, no fluff anywhere, pretty bare and pretty open.”

After the success of the first two fans forum-s Sydney FC will be holding a final forum, which will be in the Riveria Room at St George Leagues Club in Kogarah next Thursday (30 August).

The evening will start at 7.00pm and Sydney FC will be represented again by CEO Tony Pignata, Head Coach Ian Crook and Club Captain Terry McFlynn.
