Men’s Transfers
Ins
Rhys Youlley – The Young Socceroo arrives at Sydney FC following a successful stint in the Netherlands.
Akol Akon – The 16-year-old star of the future joins the Sky Blues on a scholarship contract after making the switch from Western Sydney Wanderers.
Mathias Macallister – 18-year-old Mathias Macallister signs his first professional contract having come through every age of the Sydney FC Academy
Nickolas Alfaro – After becoming the second youngest Sydney FC player in last year’s Australia Cup, Alfaro signed his first professional deal in January which will begin 1st July 2025.
Tyler Williams – After making his debut in the AFC Champions League Two, the central defender’s contract will officially start on the 1st of July 2025 after signing in January.
Contract Extensions
Alex Grant – The experienced central defender joined in January and put pen to paper on a new two year deal.
Gus Hoefsloot – The shot stopper has committed to the Sky Blues, signing a three year contract extension.
Wataru Kamijo – Wataru fresh off his first call up to the Young Socceroos will remain at Sydney FC until the end of the 2028/29 season.
Returning From Loan
Patrick Wood – The striker has spent a spell with Perth Glory during the second half of the Isuzu UTE A-League getting more consistent minutes.
Matthew Scarcella – Matty Scarcella joined Rob Stanton at Newcastle Jets and was able to make multiple appearances during his time in the Hunter.

Women’s
Ins
Heather Hinz – The American shot-stopper arrives from Houston Dash in the NWSL with plenty of college experience under her belt.
Amelia Cassar – The teenage midfielder makes the switch from Western Sydney Wanderers to the Sky Blues.
Sofia Fante – Having come through the Sydney FC Female Development Squad, Sofia signs her first senior professional contract with Sydney FC.
Contract Extensions
Shay Hollman – The midfielder has committed to the club for the next two seasons, remaining until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Caley Tallon-Henniker – The Sydney Derby winning goalscorer has extended with the club for the next two campaigns.
Amber Luchtmeijer – Having had a breakout season in the Ninja A-League following success in the NPL NSW, Amber has extended her time in Sky Blue.
Rubi Sullivan – The teenage defender star will look to build on her debut professional season with another year extension.
