Sydney FC has lost 2-0 away at Melbourne Victory after the home side capitalised on an error by the officials for their decisive goal.
The Sky Blues were coming back into the game in the second half at 1-0 down when an Abbey Lemon chance was deflected over the bar by the keeper Newbon.
A goal kick was given mistakenly and from that Victory scored as Lowe put Furphy clear and she finished well.
Victory had earlier took the lead with one of the goals of the season from Alanna Jancevski from a left wing free kick.

Ante Juric “I was proud of the effort from my players, they worked extremely hard we’re again unlucky not to get a result.
“We know that this result makes things tough in terms of making the finals, but as a group that is still our aim.
“We will keep working on our attacking structure at training as we need to find a solution in terms of scoring goals.
“We still have 10 games left and will give everything to try and win every game and push as much as we can for the rest of the season.”
