Sydney FC has confirmed a number of departures from the club following the conclusion of the Ninja A-League Women’s 2025-26 season.
Young striker Skye Halmarick, defender Madison Ayson and goalkeeper Heather Hinz will all depart the Sky Blues.
Hinz won the Sky Blues Players’ Player and Members’ Player of the Year awards and departs for a fresh opportunity in the United States on a high after a stellar season in the Harbour City.
“I loved my time in Australia and the friendships and memories I’ve made with my team-mates will stay with me forever,” Hinz said.
“I wouldn’t trade this experience for the world and I’d like to thank all of the Sydney FC Members and fans for their incredible support throughout the season.”

Ayson departs following a single season with the Sky Blues after making a strong contribution to the squad during the 2025-26 campaign.
“It was a privilege to represent Sydney FC and wear the Sky Blue jersey,” Ayson said.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club and I’d like to thank the Members and supporters for making me feel so welcome throughout the season.”
Halmarick also leaves the club following the expiration of her contract after progressing her development within Sydney FC’s Women’s program.
“A huge thank you to all the Sydney FC fans for your support throughout the year,” Halmarick said.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences, lessons and growth this season has given me.”
Sydney FC Women’s Head Coach James Slaveski thanked all of the departing players for their contribution to the club.
“I’d like to thank each of these players for the commitment, professionalism and passion they’ve shown during their time at Sydney FC,” Slaveski said.
“They have all made contributions to our Women’s program and have represented this football club with pride both on and off the field.
“We wish them every success on the next step of their football journeys.”
Sydney FC remains in discussions with a number of other players regarding the 2026-27 season and will make further announcements in due course.
