Sydney FC Announces Ground-Breaking Partnership With WHEN Fertility

Sydney FC has proudly partnered with WHEN Fertility as its Fertility Health partner supporting players.

The partnership will be announced at this weekend’s Pride Celebration matches, marking a significant step in the club’s commitment to inclusivity and reproductive health awareness.

WHEN Fertility, Australia’s leader in at-home reproductive health testing and education, is Sydney FC’s first-ever fertility partner.

Through this collaboration, Sydney FC players and partners will gain access to advanced at-home fertility testing and education from the country’s top fertility specialists.

The initiative aligns with WHEN Fertility’s mission to enhance reproductive health access and education across Australia as well as advancing fertility conversations to include those in the LGBTQIA+ community.

Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Mark Aubrey emphasized the importance of integrating fertility awareness into the club’s support systems.

“At Sydney FC, we believe that fertility and reproductive health should not only be addressed but prioritised,” said Aubrey.

“This partnership with WHEN Fertility is a major step forward in ensuring our players have the resources and education they need to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.”

WHEN Fertility were event sponsors at Sydney FC’s inaugural Pride In Football Celebration last weekend.

The collaboration represents a significant move toward normalizing conversations around fertility, particularly among elite athletes who often face unique challenges inbalancing their careers with family planning.

By providing both testing and education, WHEN Fertility aims to empower Sydney FC’s players to take control of their reproductive futures.

Sydney FC forward Shea Connors highlighted the importance of this initiative for professional athletes.

“As professional athletes, we focus so much on physical performance, but fertility health is often left out of the conversation” said Connors.

“It’s great to see Sydney FC acknowledge that we are people with personal goals beyond the field. Having access to fertility benefits empowers me to plan for my future without feeling like I have to choose between my career and my personal life,” said Connors.

WHEN Fertility’s role as Sydney FC’s Fertility Partner will be prominently featured in this weekend’s matches against Wellington Phoenix in both the Men’s and Women’s A- League fixtures.

WHEN Fertility will also be an official partner of the Sky Blues’ inaugural Pride In Football Celebration function ahead of the Women’s game at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday evening (5pm kick off).

WHEN Fertility will work with Sydney FC’s Mens and Womens teams and their families in the coming weeks.

In the coming weeks, WHEN will also take over Sydney FC Head Office – bringing in Australia’s leading fertility specialists to run education days for all teams, their partners and head office staff – to further support reproductive health education club wide.

The partnership is a natural fit, as both Sydney FC and WHEN Fertility are committed to breaking down stigmas and encouraging open conversations about reproductive health.

Together, they aim to inspire athletes to take proactive steps toward understanding their fertility and making informed decisions about their futures.

“We’re thrilled to work alongside Sydney FC to ensure that their athletes have the tools and resources they need to better understand and manage their reproductive health,” said Maz Coote, CEO of WHEN Fertility.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to making reproductive health care more accessible, transparent, and supportive for all.”
