Sydney FC National Youth League midfielder Christopher Naumoff will be looking to help propel the Sutherland Sharks to back-to-back Waratah Cup grand final victories when they meet APIA Leichhardt in Sunday-s decider.

Naumoff has played an integral part in Sutherland-s barnstorming season, which sees them cruising towards the Premiership trophy in the League, underlining their status as the most consistent side in Football NSW-s top flight this season.

The 2013 Waratah Cup Grand Final sees a repeat of last season-s main event when Sutherland Sharks and APIA-Leichhardt Tigers meet at Seymour Shaw on Sunday afternoon at 3pm.

Robbie Stanton-s Sutherland side have interpreted their coach-s football philosophy to the finest detail in what has been an impressive couple of seasons under the Sharks- coach.

The Sharks have reached the Final for the second consecutive season, though contrary to the 2012 campaign, where the side stormed into the Final having conceded only one goal, the Seymour Shaw side has this time had to endure some nervy moments – the Round of 16 penalty shoot-out win over Northern Tigers perhaps just a little too close for comfort.

APIA-Leichhardt-s season has been far from impressive. The side has been heavily disrupted by having to play its entire first part of the season at home, on a not so kind pitch for a ball playing side, and the results have not arrived.

Despite the well below average League campaign, the Tigers have been phenomenal in the Cup. Victories against the likes of Marconi Stallions and Bonnyrigg White Eagles in the semi-final, has confidence high heading into the Final.

The chance at hand for silverware, and redemption following last season-s loss, is a massive opportunity for the Leichhardt side to kick-start its march towards securing salvation in the League in the run towards the end of the season.

With a lot at stake for both sides, a highly entertaining match will be expected at Seymour Shaw.

The Sharks midfield led by Nick Stavroulakis and Panni Nikas gives them favouritism although with the Tigers defensive ability, and a number of potential match winners such as Franco Parisi and Jason Oswell, it will be anybody-s guess on Sunday.
