Sydney FC have bolstered their attacking stocks for the A-League 2026-27 season with the signing of highly-rated United States forward Faith Webber from NWSL club Denver Summit FC.
The 23-year-old arrives in Sky Blue with an outstanding goalscoring pedigree following a prolific collegiate career with Utah Valley University in the highly competitive NCAA Division I.
Webber finished as the leading goalscorer in NCAA Division I in 2025, finding the net 22 times in 22 appearances, having also led the nation for goals per game a year earlier with 18 goals from 19 matches.
Her performances earned her a move into the professional ranks with NWSL expansion club Denver Summit FC in January this year.
Webber subsequently joined USL Super League side Tampa Bay Sun on loan, where Sydney FC’s multi-Championship and Premiership-winning centre-half Charlotte McLean also played last season.
The American also demonstrated her eye for the spectacular during her time in Florida, winning the USL Super League Goal of the Month award for March.
Webber said she is excited to test herself in Australia and join a Sydney FC squad with ambitions of challenging for silverware.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Sydney FC and coming to Australia to play in what is a very competitive league in women’s football,” she said.
“Everything I’ve heard about the club, the playing group and the environment has been really positive, and I’m looking forward to becoming part of what is already an excellent young squad.
“It’s very clear that Sydney FC have set the benchmark in Australian women’s football since the league began. The club has a fantastic history of winning trophies and being successful.
“I’m under no illusions about what the target is this season. We want to compete for trophies and win, and I’m coming to Sydney determined to contribute as much as I possibly can towards achieving that.”
Head Coach James Slaveski believes Webber’s athleticism and goalscoring instincts will add another dimension to the Sky Blues’ attack.
“Faith has an excellent set of attributes which we believe will translate very well to the A-League,” Slaveski said.
“She is quick, athletic and has a fantastic work rate, while her movement and ability to make quality runs in behind defenders will give us another real threat in the final third.
“Her goalscoring numbers at NCAA Division I level are exceptional and demonstrate that she knows how to find the right areas and finish chances.
“Importantly, she is also prepared to work extremely hard without the ball. She understands how to press and defend from the front, which is an important part of how we want our forwards to play.
“She is hungry to improve, she wants to win and I think she will complement the attacking players we already have within the squad extremely well.

Webber enjoyed a record-breaking career at Utah Valley, finishing as the university’s all-time leading goalscorer with 70 goals across her four seasons with the Wolverines.
She is set to arrive in Australia in early September to begin training with the Sky Blues ahead of the start of the Ninja A-League 2026-27 season in mid-October.
Webber will wear the number 2 jersey.
