Match Preview: Sydney FC v Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC

Sydney FC host their first home clash of the 2020 AFC Champions League as Korean Champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC come to Jubilee Stadium on Wednesday (kick off 7:30pm AEDT).

While the Sky Blues boast a commanding lead at the top of the Hyundai A-League ladder, Head Coach Steve Corica’s men will be out to right their defeat to Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan a fortnight ago.

The reigning K League 1 Champions opened their Champions League campaign in similar fashion, likewise going down to Ange Postecoglou’s rampant Japanese Champions at home.

Jeonbuk arrive in Sydney boasting a wealth of domestic and foreign talent, including Korean trio Kim bo-Kyung who featured at Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic, national team top goalscorer Lee Dong-gook and former Hoffenheim defender Kim Jin-su.
