Kucharski Lauds Youth Team Spirit

Sydney FC Foxtel Y-League star, Jaiden Kucharski believes the team is exceeding expectations to start the season thanks to a great team bond.

Kucharski scored on three occasions in the Sky Blues’ 6-0 thrashing in the #SydneyDerby on Saturday and credits the great atmosphere the team has created on and off the pitch with delivering results on matchday.

“We’re all really close off the field because we’ve been playing together for four-five years now,” he said.

“The team chemistry is really working well.

“To get the three points and the 6-0 win, that’s all you can ask for at the end of the day.”

The Young Sky Blues sit in top spot of the ladder on goal difference, with the team racking up a whopping 17 goals in just three games.

“We’ve scored 17 goals as a team. I’ve scored three, Jordi [Swibel] has four and Marco [Tilio] has got six, it’s just class,” Kucharski said.

“It starts from the defence and midfield. They’re holding the ball and then getting it to us and then we finish off the chances.

“I’ve always looked up to some of the older boys, they’ve always been players I’ve wanted to play with,” he added.

The 17-year-old had no hesitation saying he wants to be scoring more goals for his side this season and wishes to be a part of the competition until the final day.

“I want to win every game and then get to the NYL [Foxtel National Youth League] Grand Final, that’s the goal.

“Hopefully I’ll get a few more starts and a few more goals for my team,” he said.

The side travel to take on Canberra United this Sunday 15th December at McKellar Park, kick off 4pm (AEDT).
