The Cove’s football team Lokomotiv Cove, which plays in the Eastern Suburbs FA Premier League, has reached the second round proper of the Football NSW’s Tiger Turf Cup.
After beating State League Division 2 team, Hawkesbury City, 2-0 in the Preliminary Round, the giant-killing Lokomotiv demolished Illawarra FA Premier League side, Albion Park 3-0 in the First Round proper.
In a Round 2 fixture, Lokomotiv Cove will now do battle with Roosters FC at 7.30pm this Wednesday, 29th April at Mona Park, Auburn.
The Cove does a wonderful job supporting Sydney FC around the country, so now is an opportunity for us all to reciprocate by getting out to Auburn on Wednesday night.
Sydney FC congratulates Lokomotiv Cove on reaching this stage of the competition and we really do wish the team well on Wednesday.
