Sydney FC will again join the APL’s Pride Celebration this weekend in a celebration of diversity and inclusivity to signify Australian football’s ongoing commitment to making football accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Last weekend, the Kennards Hire Foundation welcomed more than 100 young football fans, and their families, to enjoy a free VIP experience at the Sydney FC and Melbourne City match at Allianz Stadium.
This Friday will mark the eleventh ‘Australia Day’ Big Blue fixture between Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC, where some of the most entertaining matches have occurred in Sky Blue history in front of huge crowds.
Just four years ago Sydney FC’s newest Isuzu-UTE A-League recruit, Joe Lacey, was a 12-year old playing club football for Curl Curl on the Northern Beaches and attending Sydney FC’s Academy Training Program (ATP) every Sunday evening between 5pm and 7pm.
Sydney FC’s Northern Oval at Sky Park has been officially opened with the club’s Academy and Female Development squads starting training on the pitches immediately.
