TRANSPORT & PARKING

Important Travel Advice

Ticketholders are urged to plan their trip and consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

Public transport is the best way to get to Sydney Football Stadium with frequent light rail and buses servicing the Moore Park area. Travel on transport is included in your ticket to the game so leave the car at home as parking will be in high demand.

Trains and Metro services run regularly to the City where you can connect with frequent light rail services to Moore Park. The Moore Park light rail stop is located a short walk across from Sydney Football Stadium.  Plenty of regular route buses also make stops along Anzac Parade and Oxford Street nearby.

Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to avoid the queues for transport services before and after the match. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

If you have to drive, allow extra travel time as traffic will be heavier than usual on roads approaching the precinct as fans travel to the match in the busy evening peak. Carpool with your group as parking in the precinct may fill quickly. You can find real-time traffic conditions at livetraffic.com.

Parking is available near Sydney Football Stadium at the Entertainment Quarter Wilson car park, EP3 grass car park on Driver Avenue, and Sydney Boys & Girls High School car park off Cleveland Street. A flat rate event parking fee will apply.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Valid pre-purchased tickets to Sydney FC home games at Sydney Football Stadium include travel to and from Moore Park on the following transport services – just show your event ticket to transport staff when boarding:

  • Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations)
  • Sydney Metro services
  • Sydney metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses
  • Sydney, Parramatta and Newcastle Light Rail services
  • Sydney and Newcastle Ferries

Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you’ll need to use your Opal card or contactless payment method, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on the modes of public transport listed above until 4am the following day.

Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.

Trackwork

Planned trackwork is taking place on Wednesday 12 February on the following lines and may affect how you travel to and from the event. Plan ahead using the Trip Planner

  • M1 Metro Line: From 9.50pm, buses replace metro services between Macquarie University and Victoria Cross. Metro runs between Tallawong and Macquarie Park, and between Victoria Cross and Sydenham only. Change at Macquarie University, not Macquarie Park, for buses towards Victoria Cross. The last direct metro from Tallawong to Sydenham leaves Tallawong at 21:10, and the last metro from Sydenham to Tallawong leaves Sydenham at 21:24. Buses also replace T1 North Shore Line trains between Hornsby and Wynyard. If travelling between the City and Metro North West stations catch a train to Epping via Strathfield, then change for metro services towards Tallawong or Macquarie Park.
  • T1 Western Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains run between Western Line stations and North Sydney only, due to T1 North Shore Line trackwork
  • T1 North Shore Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, buses replace trains between Hornsby and Wynyard. Trains run between North Sydney and the City, continuing to T1 Western and T9 Northern Line stations. The last train from Wynyard leaves at 21:55 and arrives Hornsby at 22:35. Trains run between Berowra and Hornsby, some to a changed timetable. Buses also replace metro services between Macquarie Park and Victoria Cross.
  • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: From 9.50pm to 2.30am, buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland. Trains run between Waterfall, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
  • T5 Cumberland Line: From 11.50pm to 1.30am, some trains run to a changed timetable between Richmond or Leppington and Olympic Park only. Some trains start and end at Granville.
  • T9 Northern Line: From 9.40pm to 1.30am, trains run between Hornsby and North Sydney only, due to T1 North Shore Line trackwork. Daily from 4pm to 7.30pm, trains between Hornsby, Epping and Central run to a changed timetable and reduced frequency, every 15 to 20 minutes.

Trackwork is carried out on an ongoing basis to maintain the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the Sydney Trains network. For train service disruption information, check trackwork and travel alerts or plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

Bus

A number of regular Sydney Buses service stops along Anzac Parade near the precinct, including routes 339, 373, 374 and 396. From Bondi Junction Interchange, catch routes 333, 352 or 440 to Oxford Street or catch route 355 buses to Lang Road to get within short walking distance of the stadium.

Keep in mind that buses and light rail services will be busy. Consider walking between Central and Moore Park via Devonshire Street and the Albert ‘Tibby’ Cotter Walkway to minimise wait times for transport services. See the Moore Park walking route map (pdf 550KB) to find your way.

For bus service disruption information, check travel alerts or plan your trip using the Trip Planner.

SENSORY ROOM & BAGS

Sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation are often experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD, intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and other similar conditions.

A Sensory Room is now available which is located near the Sydney Football Stadium Members Cloaking Room and can be accessed by anyone who needs the space. Please contact a customer service team member to assist with this.

Sensory bags are also available and will make your event more inclusive and allow people of families to attend the event.

If you require access to the Sensory Room or a Sensory Bag at a Sydney FC game, please contact a member of the Sydney Football Stadium customer service staff at the game for more information.
