What’s On With Ben Warland

What’s On With Ben Warland

Whether you’re self isolating, or have a spare hour during your working from home lunch break, everyone’s tuning into TV, Netflix or putting on a movie at one point or another.

For the Sky Blues it’s no different, and we’ve got their recommendations for you. It’s time to find out what your Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League heroes are watching.

Here’s what’s playing at Ben Warland’s house at the moment…

What’s on at the moment?

Prison Break. 2005

An engineer installs himself in a prison he helped design, in order to save his falsely accused brother from a death sentence.

BW: I had watched all four seasons but never watched the fifth until Netflix added it to their library. Almost finished, I think I have two episodes to go. Wish I was as smart as Michael Schofield…

What’s on next?

Snowpiercer. 2013

Taking place aboard the Snowpiercer train as it travels a globe-spanning track, carrying the last remnants of humanity after a failed attempt at climate engineering to stop global warming has created a new Snowball Earth. Curtis Everett, one of the lower-class tail-section passengers, features as they rebel against the elite of the front of the train.

Ozark. 2017

A financial advisor drags his family from Chicago to the Missouri Ozarks, where he must launder money to appease a drug boss.

BW: The trailer for Snowpiercer looks interesting and I think I will give it a go. Looks action packed which is a good sign. New episodes weekly though, so I can’t binge it.

As for Ozark, I haven’t seen the new season yet so that is also on the list to watch. I really enjoyed seasons one and two though.

All time favourite?

Brooklyn Nine-Nine. 2013

Ray Holt, an eccentric commanding officer, and his diverse and quirky team of odd detectives solve crimes in Brooklyn, New York City.

BW: Can’t beat Jake Peralta and Charles Boyle working a case. Just a funny, easy to watch show that you can tune in and out of.
