Three Sydney FC players selected for Socceroos

Sydney FC trio Rhyan Grant, Joel King and Andrew Redmayne have been called up by Socceroos coach Graham Arnold for the upcoming qualifiers against Vietnam in Melbourne on January 27 and Oman in Muscat on February 2nd.

It is the first time Joel King has been called up for the senior national side and the left-back is looking forward to getting into camp.

“I’m obviously very excited. This is the first time I’ve been called up. I know a lot of the coaching staff having worked with them for the Olyroos and I think that will help with the transition,” King said.

Andrew Redmayne has been rewarded for his strong form for Sydney FC in recent weeks and the goalkeeper is looking forward to getting back into the national team fold.

“Getting called up to the national team is something I never take for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back in there and challenging myself,” Redmayne said.
