With Sydney FC-s last away match of the regular season looming and a finals spot on the line, Sky Blues defender Seb Ryall believes his teammates are well prepared to triumph when they take on Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park tomorrow night (kick off 7:45pm).

After a resilient win in the first encounter of the season and an emphatic 5-0 demolition on Australia Day, Ryall believes the Victory will be fired up for this clash but is confident Sydney FC can achieve a clean sweep of wins against the Victorians this season.

“It-s the business end of the season,” Ryall said.

“We-ve had a good weeks training, we played on a Friday, so we-ve had a good week in and for any player these are the matches you want to be a part of leading into the finals so we-re ready for sure.

“It-s all about this week for us and we-ve got some confidence from the two wins we had against them. In saying that it-s going to be hard and they-ve got the home crowd that-s going to help them,” he continued.

“They-re coming off the back of a 5-0 loss against us, they-ve got some motivation to make that right. It-s a tough game and they-re a good side so we-re expecting a tough match.”

With only six points separating second and seventh place and with two home matches remaining, there is still everything to play for, for the Sky Blues, as they seek to achieve maximum points from their remaining matches.

“It-s massive for us, we need to get the points to push up the table,” Ryall said.

“With three matches left, we-ve got two home games remaining, so if we can get some momentum heading into those two games it would be good.

“We need to pick up something; we need to get all the points we can.”

Ryall has a knack for scoring against the Victory, with three out of his seven goals coming against Kevin Muscat-s side, however while he-d gladly score again on Saturday he-s happy whoever the scorer is as long as it returns three points to the Harbour City.

“It-s always good to get a goal against your former club,” said Ryall.

“But at this stage of the season a goal from anyone we-re going to be happy with and whatever we have to do to get the win this week we-ll be doing that.

“If I can get a goal it would be great but we just need to win the match.”
