Sydney FC can confirm Panama international forward Riley Tanner has departed the club.
The 26-year-old United States-born winger leaves following a season in Sky Blue in which she finished as Sydney FC’s Golden Boot winner, making a strong impact with her pace, attacking flair and eye for goal.
A Panama international, Tanner arrived at the club ahead of the 2025-26 season after representing her country at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and quickly established herself as a key figure in the Sky Blues’ attack.
Tanner said she would always look back fondly on her time in Sydney.
“My time at Sydney FC has been incredibly special and I’ll always be grateful for the opportunity to wear the Sky Blue shirt,” she said.
“I’ve loved every minute of living in Sydney and playing alongside such an amazing group of teammates who made me feel welcome from day one.
“There is so much quality throughout this squad and I’m sure the club has a very bright future ahead. I wish everyone connected with Sydney FC nothing but success and I’ll be following from afar with great interest.”
Head Coach James Slaveski thanked Tanner for her contribution to the club.
“Riley made a terrific contribution during her time with us and was rewarded by finishing as our Golden Boot winner,” he said.
“She’s a fantastic person to work with, a committed professional and someone who gave everything for the team every time she stepped onto the pitch.
