Sydney’s women become Big Sisters

Sydney’s women become Big Sisters

On Thursday, October 15 Sydney FC’s Westfield W-League players will join forces with the Life Changing Experiences Foundation to become BIG SISTERS for a day.

On Thursday, October 15 Sydney FC-s Westfield W-League players will be BIG SISTERS for a day when they join forces with the Life Changing Experiences Foundation to help at risk youths learn valuable life skills.

Sydney FC player Danielle Brogan, says it-s a very positive experience for everyone involved.

“I guess it-s a bit of an eye opener for all of us because not a lot of us have been through traumatic cases that these girls have been through” said Brogan.

The BIG SISTER for a day workshop will provide 15 at-risk girls with an opportunity to spend time with the Sydney FC ‘s W-League players and hopefully gain some inspiration from their experiences on and off the football field.

The Sydney FC girls have worked collectively as a group to develop a series of three workshops on team work, overcoming adversity and leading a healthy lifestyle which they will deliver on the day. Each workshop will involve a mixture of fun activities and sharing of some the players- personal stories.

“It-s almost a bonding team for us, coming together and doing something for someone else,” said the Sydney defender. “We are trying to help other young females and show them there is a positive side to life.”
