Midfielder Rhyan Grant hosted the live #SydneyFanChat today and was keen to answer as many fan questions as he could as he settled into his fan chat. During the hour we learnt that all Rhyan wants for Christmas is to score more goals, his post-match meal is chicken schnitzel and chips and that unfortunately he will not be growing his signature ‘mop hair- back!
This initiative has become a successful fortnightly engagement for Sky Blue Members and Fans to interact with Sydney FC players, coaches and staff. In two weeks (2 Jan) we will be back with another current Sky Blues player!

Dr.Phil: Rhyan, you’ve played a more attacking role these past two games, what position is your most preferred?
#SydneyFanChat I don’t really have a preferred position, I am just happy to play
Dr.Phil: Many fans went home disappointed after the derby, how did the boys react after that loss and how is it being turned around
#SydneyFanChat Obviously it was a disappointing result, the boys weren’t too happy but training has been good so far this week
Anthony Vescio: Hi Rhyan. What did you ask Santa to give you for Christmas this year?

Andrew French: Hi Rhyan. How is playing under Frank Farina? How does he differ to Crook and Lavicka?
#SydneyFanChat Under Frank it is a lot more intense during training, all three are great coaches!
Karl Power: Hi Ryan what is it like to play with Del Piero, Emerton & Culina and how is the experience playing with them?
#SydneyFanChat Great experience, all three have a lot of knowledge for the game which helps me and a lot of the young boys out
Luke Cevolani: Hi what has the transition between NYL & 1st grade been like? Is it what you expected or harder with competition for places?
#SydneyFanChat It is a step up, training and playing every day with professional footballer takes a while but is a great experience
Jake Marsden: Rhyan, what do you think of the cove’s chant for you? “He’s got S**t hair, but we don’t care” Bring back the mop?

Keith Dawson: Do you have a favourite away trip in the @ALeague
#SydneyFanChat Western Sydney, because it is the closest and the Derby!
Alex Wain: You-ve played lots of different positions in the team but which do you think you-re most suited to?
#SydneyFanChat I think it is up to the coach, where he’d prefer me to play – I actually don’t know where I am best suited!
