Whenever Sydney FC takes the field the competition is always fierce but the battle has extended beyond the pitch this month with Sydney-s players all vying for bragging rights and the title of this year-s best Mo-Bro amongst their teammates, in support of the men-s health charity initiative Movember.
Leading the pack are Terry McFlynn, Jacob Timpano, John Aloisi and Alex Brosque who are all sporting some very impressive moustaches, around four weeks after putting away their razors.
During the past month the players have shown off their new facial hair at numerous media interviews and photo shoots, as well as during their past three on-field encounters.
Aloisi in particular has endured more strange looks than most this past month, none more so than when he showed off his new Mo at the premiere of the much-anticipated movie, Australia, alongside the likes of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.
While Sydney-s marquee man was no doubt hoping his Movember status was well known amongst the social elite on the red carpet to explain away his hirsute facial fashion, he-ll be back in more familiar surrounds this weekend when he and his team-mates return home for their crucial clash with Queensland Roar.
The boys will be doing their best to take the three-points so join us at Sydney Football Stadium to cheer them on this Friday and help the side celebrate the end of Movember with a win.
