Brisbane Roar (2nd) and Sydney FC (3rd) go into the final regular season match separated by just one point with the winner guaranteed to finish 2nd and have a home semi final the following week.

Second place is a huge advantage in the W-League with the semi finals played as one-off matches, giving added advantage to the “home team”.

The Sydney FC v Brisbane Roar showdown continues a long list of big clashes between the two most successful teams in W-League history.

Sydney FC has been boosted by the return of prolific Westfield Matilda-s striker Kyah Simon, who scored a double in her starting debut for the season last weekend.

Sydney FC goes into the match full of confidence after defeating Perth Glory 3-0 in Perth last weekend, stretching its undefeated record in away matches to more than a year.
