Sydney FC have secured a major boost ahead of next year’s Ninja A-League season with Young Matildas captain Shay Hollman signing a new two-year contract to remain with the club until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
The 19-year-old midfielder has been a standout performer in Sky Blue in recent years helping the club to the Championship-Premiership double in 2023 and last season’s record Grand Final victory.
Her re-signing ensures the Sky Blues’ continue their policy of signing the best young talent in the country.
“I’m excited to stay at Sydney FC because I love the team and the culture,” said Hollman.
“It is an environment where I look forward to going to training.
“It has been a big part of my career and is a great environment to continue to learn and grow.”

Head Coach Ante Juric was delighted to keep Hollman in the squad and praised her impact on and off the pitch.
“Shay is one of the best young midfielders in the country, and we’re really happy to have secured her for another two years,” Juric said.
“Her work-rate is exceptional, her tenacity stands out every time she steps on the field, and she gives everything for the club and her team-mates.
“She’s a player with a bright future, and we believe she can achieve a lot in the coming seasons.
“We’re committed to helping her take the next steps in her career and continuing to challenge her to reach her full potential.”
Having trained with Sydney FC since the age of 14, Hollman’s connection to the club runs deep with her brother Corey also part of the Men’s squad.
