The future stars of the Sydney FC Hyundai A-League team will converge on Campbelltown Stadium this Sunday when the Sky Blues National Youth League team takes on the Brisbane Roar (3pm kick-off).

The future stars of the Sydney FC Hyundai A-League team will converge on Campbelltown Stadium this Sunday when the Sky Blues National Youth League team takes on the Brisbane Roar (3pm kick-off).

Buzzing after their first win of the season – a dominant 2-0 away win over the Perth Glory – the Sky Blue Youth team will take to one of their new home Stadiums full of confidence and will be headlined by local hero and excitement machine Wely Al-Rikaby.

The side, coached by club legend Steve Corica, is full of Sydney-s premier footballing talents including Al-Rikaby who lives in Campbelltown.

Al-Rikaby played for the Bonyrigg White Eagles in the New South Wales Premier League before signing on with the Sydney FC NYL team and has since impressed in his three games for the Sky Blues with his lighting speed wowing spectators.

“I am excited about playing in my home suburb and we are really confident after our good win last weekend,” Al-Rikaby said. “My family will be coming to watch which makes it even more exciting.”

“I am really enjoying being involved with Sydney FC. We have a young, exciting team and the more we play together the better we will become.

“I am learning a lot. It is very physical which I am adjusting to that but my speed allows me to get away from a lot of tackles too.”

Adding to the match is that Brisbane currently sits second on the NYL ladder and will provide Corica-s team with tough opposition however the home team is likely to feature a number of Sydney FC-s A-League squad too.
