Hyundai A-League Premiers and FFA Cup winners Sydney FC will face Hakoah FC at Leichhardt Oval in their third friendly of pre-season as Steve Corica’s men look to ramp up their Hyundai A-League preparations.
Following on from the Sky Blues’ first two pre-season friendlies and FFA Cup Round of 32 match against Rockdale City Suns, the squad will face the New South Wales National Premier League division one side on Tuesday 7th August at the historic inner west ground.
Head Coach Steve Corica believes the match comes at the right time for the club.
“This is just the sort of test we need at this stage of the season,” he said.
“We are building into the season and these are tough games aimed at increasing our boys’ match fitness and strength so we hit the ground running come round one.
“Playing at Leichhardt Oval will help those players who haven’t played there before get used to the ground ahead of our visits later in the season, so the game is good from that perspective too.”
Both pre-season games will be open to Members and fans, with entry at the gate priced at $5 per person and all proceeds going towards the Sydney FC Foundation.
