Hyundai A-League Champions Sydney FC have renewed their partnership with McDonald’s Australia for a further season, with the global giants serving as the official restaurant and official coffee provider of Sydney FC.
The renewal will see the Sky Blues’ community initiatives, including their highly successful School Holiday Clinics, continue to be supported by the restaurant chain, boosting the club’s support of grassroots football and healthy lifestyles.
Hyundai A-League 2019 Grand Final hero Andrew Redmayne will also join forces with Ronald McDonald House Charities as an Ambassador, while McDonald’s will continue to be featured on Sydney FC’s Westfield W-League, NPL and Academy playing shorts.
Sydney FC Chief Executive Officer Danny Townsend said he was excited to have McDonald’s on board again.
“McDonald’s helped Sydney FC take their community football program to the next level last season and we have high targets for this season too,” Townsend said.
“Their assistance in giving back to grassroots football and promoting healthy habits can’t be underestimated and Sydney FC have thoroughly enjoyed their level of support.
“I’m pleased to have McDonald’s on board again as a member of the Sky Blue family for 2019/20 and I’m looking forward to the season getting underway.”
McDonald’s Australia, Market Director NSW/ACT, Cameron Newlands said: “We are delighted to be continuing our support of football in Australia and standing by the A-League Champions.
“Sydney FC’s work in the community has been fantastic and we’re looking forward to continuing to watch the next generation of talent flourish under the Sky Blues’ tutelage.”
As part of the deal, McDonald’s will continue to support the Sydney FC ball kids and will broaden their reach with increased digital assets across the Sky Blues channels.
