Sydney FC Re-Signs Record Breaking Head Coach

Sydney FC has re-signed record breaking Head Coach Ante Juric on a new two-year contract.

The three-time consecutive Premiership winner has committed himself to the club until 2026, after rejecting offers from overseas.

Juric will surpass Sky Blues Hall Of Fame inductee Alen Stajcic as the club’s longest serving Liberty A-League Women’s Head Coach by entering his 7th and 8th seasons.

Ante Juric is back for two more years

Sydney FC Chairman Scott Barlow said: “Ante is one of the most successful coaches in the Women’s game.

“He is the first coach in A-Leagues history to achieve three consecutive Premierships and he has what it takes to build title winning sides.

“He is acknowledged for bringing out the best in the players he works with and his ability to motivate and attract the best talent is second to none.”

Sydney FC Head Coach Ante Juric celebrates and holds aloft a third consecutive Premier’s Plate.

Juric has coached the Sky Blues to the Grand Final in each of his first five seasons in charge and looks to extend that record this Sunday by beating Western United in the semi-final at Allianz Stadium (5.45pm kick off).

He also has a great track record for developing young players such as Matildas Cortnee Vine, Remy Siemsen and Clare Wheeler, as well as Kiwi Ally Green into national team players.

“I am proud to be part of Sydney FC and the success we have achieved,” he said.

“We have a great group and I am as committed as the girls to winning trophies and achieving more with this club.

“We want to go onto bigger and better things and I’m excited to take these girls into the AFC Champions League, which is hopefully starting later this year.”

Juric can move into outright second place on the most successful A-League Women’s Head Coaches standings by winning the 2023 Grand Final which will be his 5th title with Sydney FC.

He has coached 90 games in total for the club, winning 60 matches, drawing just seven with only 23 defeats.
