Seven players called up for national team duty

Seven Sky Blues will be jetting off with their nation ahead of the last international window of the year.

Riley Tanner has been named in the Panama squad and she will now head to Curacao for the qualifiers for the CONCACAF Women’s Championship held in November 2026. During her week with the squad, they will take on Curacao at the Rignaal “Jean” Francisca Stadium in Willemstad, the capital of Curacao.

Also in the group for Tanner is Cuba, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Aruba and these matches will be played in the March and April international windows. Top of the group will proceed to the CONCACAF Women’s Championship along with the five other group winners (U.S.A. & Canada already have secured their spot directly).

Six Sydney FC players will be heading to Canberra with the Young Matildas (U20’s) and they will face Korea Republic in a two match friendly series at the Institute of Sport.

Maddie Caspers, Amelia Cassar, Sofia Fante, Skye Halmarick, Rubi Sullivan & Caley Tallon-Henniker have all been named in the 23 player squad for this training camp ahead of a big 2026 for the U20 Australian side.

All seven players will be unavailable for this weekend’s clash against Canberra United.
