Sydney FC has stamped itself as the team to beat in the Westfield W-League with a dominant performance against the Perth Glory in the first game of the new national competition at Members Equity Stadium this-afternoon.

A stunning early burst secured Sydney the three points, with both Leena Khamis finding the net twice from corners inside the first ten minutes, and Danielle Small also adding her name to the scoreboard before the break.

Sky Blues- Captain, Heather Garriock sealed the deal mid-way through the second period after following up her own free kick, securing a 4-0 win for FC, and the perfect start to the season.

“Very happy,” said Garriock after the match. “It-s fantastic to start off with 2 early goals and to finish off the game 4-0, it-s brilliant to start of the W-League.”

After the successful trip to Perth Sydney FC will return home next Saturday for a clash against the Melbourne Victory at Parramatta Stadium.
