Le Fondre About To Bury His Second Goal

What They Said: Head Coach Steve Corica: “I was very pleased with the performance and fitness of the boys.

“We still have some way to go to be at our peak but what we’ve been working on in training, we put into practice in the game today.

“It was good to give some players a run and we still have the likes of Milos Ninkovic, Anthony Caceres, Trent Buhagiar, Rhyan Grant, Michael Zullo and some other young boys to come back in.”

Sydney FC were dominant in their first pre-season friendly of the season, scoring five goals and creating at least three other big chances.

Bobô opened the goalscoring in the opening minutes finishing a Barbarouses cutback inside the box.

He made it two inside 20 minutes when Kamsoba forced Federici into a mistake by closing him down quickly. The Burundian squared the ball to the Brazilian to double his tally.

Kamsoba could have made it three soon after when he went clear rounding the keeper but a last ditch out-stretched leg from Bulls defender blocked his shot on goal.

Bobo Opens The Scoring vs Bulls

He wasn’t to be denied and after Burgess went clear from King’s pass, the two new boys linked up with Burgess crossing after going around the keeper for Kamsoba to finish.

Le Fondre came on as sub in the 60th minute and scored the 4th and 5th.

The Englishman controlled and finished Kamsoba’s excellent cross in the 71st minute and then did the same again three minutes later after a fine left-wing cross from fellow substitute Connor O’Toole to the back-post.
