Three players from Sydney FC’s Academy Schools program have been elected to leadership positions at Endeavour Sports High School.
Hayden Matthews has been elected as boys School Captain while Brae Ovens has been named as Vice-Captain. Both boys are members of Sydney FC’s Under 20’s side.
Lara Wakeham who participates in Sydney FC’s Senior girls’ program has been elected as girls Vice-Captain.
Endeavour Sports High Principal James Kozlowski praised the trio for combining their studies with football commitments whilst behaving as great role models.
“Hayden, Lara and Brae are outstanding role models in the classroom, on the sporting field and across all areas of the school. They are proof that academic and sporting excellence go together, and that you can achieve great success while remaining humble. Their election to the captaincy of the school is recognition of the leadership they have demonstrated over many years.”
