Sydney FC-s leadership group Terry McFlynn, Brett Emerton and Karol Kisel have joined forces to record an advertisement to promote Sydney FC Memberships for the 2011/12 season.
Emerton, McFlynn and Kisel all feature in the 60 second advertisement, which can be seen on the Sydney FC website video section and will be used throughout the next four weeks as Sydney FC strives to turn its fans into Members for the 2011/12 season.
“I-ve been here since day one,” Club Captain Terry McFlynn says in the ad. “Sydney FC is my home. Without the support and loyalty of our Members we wouldn-t have a home and we wouldn-t have a club and Sydney wouldn-t be Football-s Capital.
McFlynn was backed by his two vice captains with Emerton stating: “I-ve come home to be part of Sydney FC. I urge all of our fans to become part of the club by becoming a Member and supporting us through our 2011/12 season. We can-t possible do it without you.”
Possibly the best illustration of what Sydney FC is trying to achieve in attracting fans back to the club was in the words of returning star Karol Kisel, who returned to Sydney FC from a season in the Czech Republic after he played an integral role in Sydney FC-s 2009/10 Championship/Premiership double.
“I have travelled 15000km to go to work and come back to Sydney FC,” Kisel said. “Become a part of our family!”
The in-house advertisement was shot at the Sydney FC training ground and comes on the eve of Sydney FC-s first home game of the season against Brisbane Roar.
