Sydney FC were honoured to visit the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick on Wednesday, with a team visit to the hospital to boost spirits at Christmas.
As one of the club’s community partners, the entire Hyundai A-League squad and a number of Westfield W-League players split up into groups visiting nine wards, handing out Christmas gifts patients they met.

The players spent an hour and a half meeting family members, chatting with patients, posing for photos and signing autographs.
There were a number of special moments too, as the players visited long time Sydney FC fan Gabe Cipriano and took part in an end of treatment song for one child who was preparing to bid farewell to the hospital after completing their treatment earlier that day.
Sydney FC Captain Alex Brosque said each hospital visit is a memorable experience, but at Christmas time it’s always one that stirs emotions in the playing group.
“It’s always great to visit the hospital and be able to put a smile on these kids’ faces and just brighten up their day,” he said.
“It puts things in perspective for the boys and it’s always inspiring to see how strong these children are with what they’re going through.
“The Christmas visit is one that’s marked on the calendar early every year and it’s an event we as players always cherish. It’s the least we can do.”
