Sydney FC-s fixtures have been announced for the 2014/15 Hyundai A-League season, with a host of mouth-watering clashes on offer for Members and fans at Allianz Stadium.

The Sky Blues are set to start the season with a bang with two blockbuster home games in the first two rounds

Melbourne City, backed by their new owners, are up first at Allianz Stadium, arriving with a new kit and re-invigorated squad in what will be their first official Hyundai A-League match.

The following week the Western Sydney Wanderers come to town for the first Sydney Derby of the season and the Sky Blues will be looking to carry on where they left off after defeating the Wanderers 3-1 in their last encounter at Allianz Stadium.

Graham Arnold-s former club, the Central Coast Mariners, arrive in round four after the Sky Blues return from a clash against the Champions Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium, in a match sure to draw the limelight.

Sydney FC will also look to give Members and fans some Christmas cheer with three home games over the festive period.

Starting with a December 21 match against the Wellington Phoenix, Sydney FC will follow it up a week later with a late Christmas present as the Sky Blues face off against Adelaide United on Boxing Day.

With over 17,000 fans packing into Allianz Stadium last Boxing Day, the 26th of December is fast becoming a regular fixture to be earmarked.

A home fixture against the Jets on January 3 rounds out the festive period and completes our home matches for the first month of the New Year as the league takes a three week break due to the AFC Asian Cup.

With the Asian Cup schedule occupying the majority of January, the venue for Sydney FC-s round 15 match against the Newcastle Jets is still to be decided, however a decision will be made shortly.

The league will restart in style with a hotly anticipated game against the Melbourne Victory on February 14.

Valentine-s Day holds a special place in the hearts of all Sydney FC Members and fans as the day the Sky Blues clinched the Premiership with a dominant display against Melbourne Victory in 2010 and the two sides will repeat that encounter 5 years after that historic clash.

Chief Executive Officer Tony Pignata believes the schedule gives Sydney FC supporters some great occasions to look forward to.

“The home derby against Western Sydney Wanderers in round two will really be a highlight for everyone once again but the two Melbourne Victory home games will also be extra special,” said Pignata.

“The Christmas and New Year period is also a fantastic time to watch sport and with three Sydney FC home games locked in, it-s going to be a hugely exciting time.

“I urge everyone to secure their Membership as soon as possible and make sure they guarantee their seat for all of these tremendous games.”

Away from home the Sky Blues have two trips each to face Perth and Wellington, while they will finish their home regular season against Adelaide United on Easter Saturday, April 4.

In total Sydney FC will play 13 games at home out of the 27 rounds in the 2014/15 season with one Thursday night game, two Friday night games including the match on Boxing Day, eight Saturday games and two Sunday games.
