After taking in Hills Grammar School and Macquarie University already, the Sky Blues clinic at Shore School wrapped up on Wednesday following three days of intensive football coaching from Community Football Officer, and former Socceroo, Paul Reid and his team of highly qualified coaches.
The Scots College clinic will close today to bring to an end a massive three weeks of Sydney FC football clinics.
Sixty children participated in the July School Holiday clinic at SHORE school, building on the 47 that joined the first clinic in April.
The young players were treated with an exclusive kick around with Sydney FC stars Matt Jurman, Nikola Petkovic and Milos Dimitrijevic who popped in on Tuesday, much to the excitement of all the kids.
The Scots College was the final Sky Blue adidas School Holiday clinic, taking place at the picturesque Christison Park, with over 80 children signing up for the first ever Sydney FC clinic to be held in conjunction with eastern suburbs boys school.
The kids were put through their paces in a series of one on one drills, as well as passing and shooting and were treated to a surprise visit from Sydney FC-s new Australian Marquee Alex Brosque along with Daniel Petkovski and Ivan Necevski.
After joining in for a game with the children, Brosque said he enjoyed getting involved with the clinics and was confident the children would go away from the sessions as better footballers.
“It was good fun having a kick around with the kids,” Brosque said.
“There was some real talent displayed throughout the game and you can see the kids had really picked up a lot from their coaches.
“I-ve been involved with the clinics before at Sydney FC and it-s always a great time seeing how much joy football brings to these children.
“You never know, maybe one day we-ll see these young boys and girls playing at the highest level.”
