Goal scoring midfielder Iain Ramsay was tonight named Sydney FC’s National Youth League Player of the Year following an outstanding season that saw him make his Hyundai A-League debut.
Goal scoring midfielder Iain Ramsay was tonight named Sydney FC-s National Youth League Player of the Year following an outstanding season that saw him make his Hyundai A-League debut.
As the heart of the Sky Blues youth team midfield, Ramsay dominated the competition with his superior ball handling skills, goal scoring nous and pinpoint passing game.
Ramsay, 22, gained valuable experience by training with Sydney FC-s A-League team this season and used that to his advantage by being the go to man for Coach Steve O-Connor.
Rewarded for his stellar youth league season, Ramsay debuted in the A-League in the press cooker environment of Sydney FC-s Major Semi-Final against Melbourne Victory on Thursday 18 February.
As well as his midfield value, Ramsay illustrated his broad skill set by scoring six goals in the NYL competition.
