Ante Juric’s all-conquering side return to action tonight as they face Brisbane Roar in the Liberty A-League.
Sydney FC sit on top of the ladder with seven wins and one draw. The match will be the girls first since their comprehensive 3-0 win over Melbourne City at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
Goalkeeper Jada Whyman will look to break the record for the most consecutive clean sheets in the league. She will eclipse former Matildas Lydia Williams record of seven. Whyman currently sits level with Williams.
Ante Juric will most likely be without Matildas duo Cortnee Vine and Remy Siemsen with the star duo returning home imminently after the Matildas were knocked out of the Asian Cup at the expense of South Korea.
Juric is expected to line up with a similar side to the one that defeated Melbourne City at Netstrata Jubilee with a front three of Satchell, Ibini and Rojas expected.
Brisbane Roar recently suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Melbourne City on Saturday with a goal in the 94th minute sealing the Queensland side’s fate.
The Queensland-based side are likely to field a similar side to the one that faced Melbourne City a few days ago with young midfielder Hollie Palmer in contention to start the match.
