Sydney FC will be looking to move to first place on the Isuzu Ute Men’s A-League ladder with a win over Adelaide United on Friday night.

Sydney FC travel down to South Australia to face Adelaide United as Steve Corica’s side aim to continue their winning ways after a thrilling 3-2 win against the Mariners.

Team news:

Steve Corica revealed after the win against the Mariners that he was hopeful star striker Adam Le Fondre would be back to face Adelaide United after recovering from a hamstring injury. Bobô could start against Adelaide after coming from the bench to score against the Mariners at Leichhardt Oval on Sunday. Sydney FC are still expected to be without Andrew Redmayne and Rhyan Grant who will be returning home from international duty while Adelaide United will be without Craig Goodwin who is also with the Socceroos.

Adelaide will be full of confidence after securing a late win against the Newcastle Jets. New signing Hiroshi Ibusuki scored twice late on to snatch the three points. Former Sydney FC defender Jacob Tratt could feature at centre back for the home side.

One to watch: Anthony Caceres

Caceres has been a key figure for Sydney FC this season. The midfielder has scored four goals for Sydney FC so far this season and was crucial in the 3-2 win over the Mariners, scoring the winner at Leichhardt Oval.
