New Sydney FC striker Kruno Lovrek has set himself the task of scoring a minimum of ten goals this season after arriving for his first day of training with his new team-mates.

The Croatian is also targeting an improved league position for the club to last year.

“Firstly it-s important that the club makes a good result because last year Sydney finished in 6th position, but me personally I want to score many goals and play good. More than ten goals is the target,” said the frontman.

Lovrek says fans can expect to see some powerful shooting from him over the course of the next 12 months, while he believes dribbling is one of his better attributes as a player.

He also revealed he had a feeling he would end up playing in the Harbour City after a 24 hour stopover with Jeonbuk Motors, following an Asian Champions League game in Adelaide.

“I was walking in the city and in my dreams I said maybe one time I come here.”
After arriving on a flight from Croatia on Friday morning, the striker has already been shown around some of the city.

“Yesterday Pascal called me to go for dinner [in Darling Harbour]. He-s a very good man and it was a good night. I-ve met the other players as well and I have a very good feeling.

Lovrek will now set about finding a place to stay for the next year while the club awaits the arrival of his potential strike partner, Panamanian International Yairo Yau.
