Joe Lolley Ready To Dominate

Sydney FC winger Joe Lolley has celebrated his new two-year contract at the Harbour City club by declaring he wants to do more than just entertain football fans.

The 31-year old is determined to add more silverware to the Australia Cup he won earlier in the season by lifting the Premiers Plate for the Sky Blue supporters and bringing home a Championship.

“We want to be better than just an entertainment,” he said. “We want to win!”

It’s set to be a big challenge for the Sky Blues who have one final home game before spending the next three rounds on the road.

With a fiery match on home turf against the Newcastle Jets fast approaching, the Englishman is ready to dominate the pitch at Allianz Stadium and secure three vital points.

“We know it is going to be a tough game. They [Newcastle Jets] will be very organised,” he continued.

“I think for where Newcastle are as a club, they have performed well this season and every game they have been very competitive.

“With any game at home, we need to make this place a fortress. We have definitely improved over the last five, six weeks or so.

“We got some good home results recently but every home game we have to target and have to dominate. That will be the goal on Friday.

“Hopefully we can put on a show. We need to make sure these games are in our favour.”

Despite the tough contests that await the Sky Blue side, the star player shared how the fans and Members play an important role for the club’s success.

“To see people come out in their numbers is always great.

“When you feel that energy form the crowd, it is always a great atmosphere in the stadium.

“I think people can definitely enjoy the games when they come and whatever happens we have given it a real go,” he said.

You can watch Lolley and the Sky Blue squad this Friday evening at Allianz Stadium or broadcast live on Paramount+.
