Ins & Outs | Super Sydney FC Sunday

We’re set for a blockbuster Sydney FC Sunday afternoon with our Men & Women back in action in the A-Leagues after a week off due to the bye and international break respectively.

Both Ante Juric and Ufuk Talay have a stern away test on their hands with the reigining champions heading to Tarneit to take on Western, while the Men head up the freeway to take on Central Coast.

Men’s

After being rested on Thursday night for the AFC Champions League Two clash with FC Kaya Iloilo a number of Ufuk Talay’s big names have returned for Sunday’s match in Gosford.

Andrew Redmayne overcomes a knock that he picked up in the Sydney Derby to be included in the side while Anas Ouahim, Patryk Klimala and Douglas Costa are all named in the extended squad.

Hayden Matthews makes his return from suspension in the league after wearing the captains armband on Thursday night for the very first time.

Patrick Wood is also welcomed back into the extended squad and Ufuk Talay will be hoping to keep things the way they are with no players in the outs or unavailable list.

Women’s

The luck on the injury front cannot be said for Ante Juric who has been dealt a major blow with the sad news breaking last week that midfield dynamo Hana Lowry has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL rupture.

The 21-year-old was starting to really hit her straps however went down in the Unite Round clash with Melbourne City and was helped from the field.

Everyone at Sydney FC wishes her the best with her recovery and the club will be doing everything they can to assist Hana with it.

Millie Farrow and Margaux Chauvet are included in the extended squad for this clash and will be looking to be the point of difference for Juric.

Still unavailable due to injury is Kirsty Fenton, also recovering from an ACL, Kyah Simon and Lucy Johnson.

Young Rubi Sullivan is currently away with the Junior Matildas.
