Ins & Outs | Big Blue squads confirmed

Ufuk Talay and Ante Juric have named their squads for the annual trip to Melbourne for the January 26th Big Blue clashes.

Two return for the men while the Women look to continue where they left off last week.

Men’s

It is a welcome return for the Sky Blues to see Jaiden Kucharski and Robert Mak both included in the matchday squad for this weekend. Kucharski missed out due to concussion and Mak has been missing with a groin complaint since the 2-1 victory over Brisbane Roar earlier this month.

Having been short in the attacking department, Ufuk Talay will welcome both players back for the Big Blue however he will have a decision on his hands as to who starts following last week’s emphatic four goal showing against the Jets.

Aaron Gurd, Jack Rodwell, Joel King and Wataru Kamijo all remain sidelined with injuries.

After making his debut last weekend, Hayden Matthews is also included in the extended squad.

Women’s

Ante Juric has named a competitive squad for the trip to Melbourne with young gun Maddie Caspers included in the extended squad. The teenager returned last week and popped up with a vital goal in the come from behind victory and she could be up for her first taste of Big Blue action.

After picking up head knocks in the mid-week loss to the Central Coast Mariners, Abbey Lemon and Taylor Ray have both been named in the squad as they look to make their return from concussions.

Lucy Johnson, Shea Connors, Nat Tobin and Fiona Worts all remain sidelined with Shea back training on pitch earlier this week as she nears a return.

Teigan Collister and Sienna Saveska are also included in the extended squad.
