Ufuk Talay & Ante Juric’s sides will kick start their 2026 with matches against Melbourne City this weekend in Victoria.
Men’s
Ufuk Talay confirmed on Wednesday during his press conference that Joe Lolley would be sidelined until the end of the month due to his hamstring injury and will join Gus Hoefsloot who injured his wrist in training this week.
Mathias Macallister is with the Australian U23’s at the AFC U23 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia however in a positive, Paul Okon Jnr returns to the matchday squad for the first time since the Sydney Derby in November where he picked up a quad injury.
Sandy Zaverdinos comes into the extended squad in place of Gus Hoefsloot and Joel King also joins the extended 20 player list.

With a two week break from competitive action, Ante Juric has named his squad for this Sunday’s clash with reigning Premiers Melbourne City.
After coming off during the break against Wellington, Mackenzie Hawkesby has been ruled out with a calf complaint opening the door for teenager Claire Corbett who is another star from the Sydney FC Female Development Squad.
Willa Pearson & Amber Luchtmeijer also join the extended squad for the trip to Victoria while Shay Hollman, Indi Dos Santos & Nat Tobin remain sidelined.
