Sydney FC-s corporate partnership program continues to grow with Metcash Food & Grocery (IGA) and StarTrack adding their names to the Sydney FC sponsor portfolio ahead of the 2013/14 Hyundai A-League season.

IGA and StarTrack join St George Bank as Tier Two sponsors of Sydney FC, affording both companies matchday brand exposure as well as hospitality, ticketing and marketing benefits.

The announcement comes a week after Sydney FC-s two major sponsors Webjet and Destination NSW committed to the 2013/14 season and three weeks after St George Bank became the official Sydney FC Community Partner as the Sky Blues push towards a sponsor revenue target of $2million.

“Sydney FC is proud to have two reputable businesses like StarTrack and Metcash (IGA) join the Sydney FC corporate partnership program,” said Sydney FC CEO Tony Pignata. “Recently we re-signed our two major sponsors and we are now working hard to grow the sponsorship base as we move towards achieving further growth in our total sponsorship revenue.

“Independent research carried out by Repucom from the 2012/13 Hyundai A-League showed Sydney FC led the way in a lot of the key indicators including TV viewers, avid fans, merchandise and media space and the corporate market is responding to the positive figures as we move into the 2013/14 season.

StarTrack, Australia-s leading freight and logistics provider, has committed to Sydney FC looking to not only help drive its relationships with the Sky Blues but help the broader A-League landscape.

“We are very excited about developing our association with a great club like Sydney FC,” said StarTrack Director, Sales and Marketing, Theo Triantafillides. “StarTrack is looking forward to playing a part in the growing popularity of Sydney FC and the A-League in general.”

Metcash has stepped up it-s involvement with Sydney FC after taking out a Matchday sponsorship package with the Sky Bluyes in 2012/13.

“IGA is proud to be associated with the World Game, football, and our partnership with Sydney FC delivers to our corporate objectives as well as supporting one of the most proactive teams in the A-League,” said Angela Borrelli, Marketing Manager NSW/ACT Metcash Food & Grocery.
