Grant And Ryall Make The Call

Sydney FC have kicked off their player membership phone calls for 2016, with Sky Blues duo Rhyan Grant and Sebastian Ryall manning the phones for an hour on Wednesday night.

The pair occupied the Sky Blues membership department calling prospective Members to have a chat and entice them to join the Sky Blue Family for the Hyundai A-League 2016//17 season, while also having a laugh in between calls.

Channelling his best Harvey Specter impersonation from TV drama “Suits” before he started, Sebastian Ryall said overall it was good evening as the pair made over 30 phone calls during their shift.

“It’s always enjoyable interacting with our Members and fans and being able to hear their stories,” Ryall said.

“We spoke to a number of families who’ve been fans for a while and we managed to sign a couple up which was great.

“Hopefully we see them out in the stands come game day and hopefully we can send them home knowing they made the right decision to sign up.”

Grant and Ryall are veterans of the membership calls, having been at the Sky Blues since 2008 and 2009 respectively, and the Sky Blues number 23 said he enjoyed giving back to the fans through initiatives such as the calls.

“It’s the little things that we can do like this that help improve our fans experiences with Sydney FC,” Grant said.

“It’s always good to be able to have a chat and get to know our fans and it always puts things in perspective when you hear their excitement on the other end of the line.”

Sydney FC’s player membership calls will continue through to mid-September. For fans wanting to receive a call from the players to sign up as a 2016/17 Member please email membership@sydneyfc.com.
