The Sky Blues secured a vital win in their race for the Premiers Plate thanks to a second Adam Le Fondre penalty in consecutive weeks. 

That strike proved the difference, despite a first half where the Sky Blues could have easily had more goals. 

The Phoenix had a strike rightfully disallowed for offside, and threw men forward late in the game but the Sky Blues defence held firm.
