Sydney FC midfielder Nicky Carle will miss the next month of Hyundai A-League football with a left foot injury.
Carle sustained the injury in the Sky Blues 3-0 win over Perth on Sunday 24 November at nib Stadium when he was attempting to gain possession whilst challenging Glory captain Jacob Burns in the 9th minute.
“It is bitterly disappointing. I am shattered about this,” Carle said. “I was back and 100% fit so to pick up another injury is very upsetting. It is tough to deal with.”
“It has been a tough start to the season for me. I missed part of the preseason and have picked up injuries a few times since then so I am really down about this one.
“We have fantastic fitness and medical staff here so we will do whatever it takes to get back with my foot 100% ready.”
Carle will miss the Sky Blues home game against the Newcastle Jets at the Sydney Football Stadium (5pm kick-off) on Sunday and matches against the Gold Coast, Perth Glory and Melbourne Heart.
