Five reasons you can’t miss our semi final

We’ve got a massive match coming up this Saturday when our Womens team bids to secure a spot in their seventh Grand Final in a row.

After a narrow 1-0 win over Central Coast Mariners in the Semi Final first leg, it’s going to be a nervy encounter when we kick off at Leichhardt Oval at 3pm.

Grab your great value tickets $25 Adult and $10 Junior tickets for our biggest home of the season.

1 – A Grand Final place is at stake.

The 1-0 win at Central Coast Mariners last Sunday means if Sydney FC win or draw, a place in the Grand Final is locked in.

But if the Sky Blues falter we could be facing extra-time or even the drama of a penalty shoot-out.

With the Semi Final on a knife’s edge you won’t want to miss the action of this do or die tie.

2 – Matildas showdown

Sydney FC’s Cortnee Vine and Mariners’ Kyah Simon were team-mates during the World Cup but now the top guns are going head-to-head in the biggest game of the season.

The Matildas pair are key players for their respective sides with Vine’s 10 goals this season a major part of the Sky Blues success. Simon may have only struck three times, but with 111 international caps to her name, she still has the skills required to cut open any defence.

Both players can change this game in an instant with a moment of brilliance.

3 – Our last home game this season?

With Premiers Melbourne City likely to lock in a home Grand Final following their big first leg win over Newcastle Jets, Saturday’s game could well be our last home match of the season.

Home games at Leichhardt Oval this season have been hugely popular with our Members rating their game day experience 4.5 our of 5!

Treat yourself to a great afternoon out with friends.

4 – The famous Leichhardt Oval hill

Drop your rug on the grass and let the kids run free as you settle in to watch all the action from your perfect spot on the hill.

Grab some great tasting food and drink from our food outlets and hang out with friends and family in the warm autumn sunshine as the drama plays out in front of you.

Is there a better way to watch our Women’s team in action?

5 – Face painters, ice cream and player signings

Bringing the kids? We’ve got a day stacked with fun for young supporters.

They’ll love having their face painted in our famous Sky Blue colours, getting their shirts signed by our players and tucking into an delicious ice cream.

That’s before all the fun on the pitch kicks off at 3pm.

Grow their love for the game with a massive day out at our biggest home game of the season.

It should be a brilliant atmosphere at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday which is not to be missed.
