The Sydney FC Foundation and Fineline Trailers have announced two-year partnership that sees Fineline Trailers provide a premium, bespoke trailer to support the Foundation’s Community Powerchair Program.
Long-term trailer supplier for Australian sporting legend Casey Stoner and the iconic Johnson racing family, Fineline Trailers will provide the Sydney FC Foundation with the means of taking powerchair football well and truly on the road over the next two seasons as they look to remove barriers to play the sport for people with disabilities.
“The Board are grateful for the generosity of Fineline Trailers, who did not hesitate to design and donate the use of a custom trailer to take our powerchair program beyond metro Sydney and into regional NSW,” said Sydney FC Foundation Chair, Jenny Abood.
“It is an exciting opportunity to extend the powerful joy of belonging and playing as part of a team and enjoying the beautiful game of soccer,” she added.
Fineline Trailers, Company Director, Brent Coghlan, said: “We are excited to be involved in this joint project with Sydney FC Foundation and their powerchair program.
“We hope the new trailer will be instrumental in helping Sydney FC Foundation promote and grow the sport.”
Coghlan added: “Fineline Trailers specialises in purpose built transport solutions, so we were able to work with all stakeholders of this project to design something that will remove a transport barrier and give the Foundation a safe & reliable mode to move their specialised equipment with ease.”
Overjoyed by the potential the new trailer presents the community program and powerchair football, Sydney FC Powerchair Football Head Coach Jason Ryan said: “Unlike most other sports, powerchair football requires a lot of specialised, and often heavy, equipment to play.
“Having a trailer like the one from Fineline Trailers gives us a fantastic opportunity to take the sport to other metropolitan and regional areas. This is paramount to us being able to give others the chance to experience this fast and exciting adaptive sport.
“Thank you to everyone at Fineline Trailers for their support,” he added.
Instrumental in the design process of the trailer, Fineline General Manager, Samantha Coghlan spoke of her enjoyment in working on this partnership.
“It has been a pleasure to work with the Sydney FC Foundation and Jason to design and manufacture their purpose built trailer.
“Everyone at Fineline Trailers looks forwards to seeing the added impact the trailer will have to their Community Program and also with both Sydney FC and Sydney FC Powerchair Football every success in the upcoming season.”
